This week, The Honorable Ron Kostyshyn, Minister of Manitoba Agriculture Food and Rural Initiatives, encourages Manitobans to take advantage of locally produced foods and food products and highlighted, “Another great way to meet Manitoba producers is to take the opportunity to visit working farms at the Third annual Open Farm Day on Sunday, September 16.”
With that being said, let’s talk about a few more of the Open Farm Day hosts.
Dan and Della Fehr of Grunthal opeate Rainbow Ridge Ranch Bed and Breakfast. It is here where you will witness log peeling and harvesting demonstrations, building log furniture, and be priviledged to tour the 135 acrees bed and breakfast, and have horse buggy rides.
The Renaissance Bison Farm of Alain and Anne Nadeau is another attraction for Open Farm Day. This farm, located at Steinbach area will allow you to drive right into the bison park- get 10 feet from the bison her and and calves – a terrific experience for all!
