The keynote speaker John Stanley, talked about delighting your customers. In order to delight a customer you must exceed their expectations by ‘1’ or rather meet the expectations and then add something extra that they didn’t see coming. This could mean a dinner at your business might include bread or a field tour day for CSA customers. There’s a million different things that could be used to delight your customer. The key is to figure out what they expect from a visit to you business and what would be a good add-on to that experience. A delighted customer will spread the word about you and improve your bottom line.
